What's to check? You send them the price that you 
are willing to pay. If it wins, you pay that 
price. The only checks and balances are your 
spending limit. Either you bid or you don't. It's 
just like any other auction, except that you 
don't see what others are bidding. I have not 
problem with them at all. I got two of my 
favorite cels from a silent auction and I don't 
think I got screwed in the least(Thank you 
Celga). The bottom line is, bid what you are 
comfortable bidding, otherwise, back off.
