I sometimes consider these two series as 
completely different shows. Because they are so 
different in style. I love them both of course! 
As a character I love Tomoe more than Kaoru. She 
was Kenshin's first love. I think if the OVA 
story would ended otherwise, Kenshin and Tomoe 
would be a better couple than Kenshin and Kaoru. 
After you finish the OVA series, you will see  
that Tomoe lived a sad life, and she deserves 
Kenshin more! At least that's my opinion.
