Hello everyone,
Im so dissappointed today because I had a new
site all ready to go. Weeks of doing art, links,
learning the program I am working with, and it's
all done now! I even got a new Raphael Tenshi
cel I wante to show, but I wanted to save it for
the site opening. However, Im having a lot of
trouble finding a way to get the site
published/uploaded.
I have a web server here at work that I was going
to upload to, but when I tried to do that, it
just was a big old mess. I edited and made the
pages on my own computer, and so, all the links
point to the pages there. Not only that, but the
program I used makes a 'pages' folder for all the
pages, and a 'media' folder for all the pics and
art. So, all the links were broken because they
were pointing to the page/media folders. AND,
when I tried to edit the pages, I could only do
it through the parent directory on my own
machine. Then I had to go through all kinds of
security business on the server to try and get
the page to update there too.
Some of you all have great galleries, and you
update them quickly. Is it that easy? Anyone
know anything about Adobe Go Live? I have been
trying to publish the site all day, but I dont
know how to use the program well enough. And,
their directions for publishing are less than
user friendly. Id really appreciate any help,
but, if not, that's okay. I'll have to keep on
working on it. I really wanted to avoid all the
online free web space things...I cant stand those
banners. But, I may have to get some anyways.
*sigh* Oh, this is so unsettling, to have a page
all ready to go, and not be able to upload it
correctly...talk about no fun ;_;. If anyone can
help, Id really love to hear from you, please me
email me privately so we dont clog up the forum
^_^*. Goodnight.
PS Since I couldnt get my page up today, here is
the cel! I know it's not great, but it's the
only one I think I will ever be able to get! So
rare to find them! Enjoy! |
