To answer a question that scrolled out of
this page : No, douga are not draw by machine.
(and we wouldn't say draw but printed... :)
A douga need to be photocopied (or scaned and
then printed) to the plastic sheet. If you
already have it in a computer, it would be
pointless to print it on paper : you could
directly print it to the plastic...
Anyway, as I already mentioned it, even for
CG anime, the douga are hand-draw. Only the
coloring is done by computer. (it's not
very difficult to color a picture with a
computer. Drawing with a computer can be far
easier than drawing by hand especialy if you
are not used to it)
