I did bid on anothers auction with that feature.  
Even with a cable modem, it takes for ever to 
load.  I hate to see the person with dial up.  I 
did manage to get a bid in, in between the 
crashing.  But it makes it really hard to bid, 
let alone watch near the end. 

In the long run, I think it does not help.
