It's not the same as it was a number of years ago.  
Prices have escalated and the competition has 
grown.  I started collecting in my freshman year of 
college, now almost 8 years later I'm in my last 
few months finishing up my Phd and I've noticed 
over the years how the collector mentality has 
changed and what I condisdered and expensive cel 
back then was priced at mere pennies by today's 
standared.  There is a lot of jealousy and 
animosity these days and the collector has gotten 
younger.  But I continue to collect, cause I love 
the cels, the art work and the anime. ^_^
