I really like that idea, Peggichu.  Not only are 
they not needing the massive amounts of blood 
they expected to need, but the hospitals always 
run low around, say, Memorial Day or 4th of July, 
when bad drivers do their best to raise the 
casualty rates.

I'm going to wait until closer to Christmas to 
donate blood, and then again in mid-year, at 
least.  

I just wish I were a type O person instead of a 
type A person (and there's more than a couple of 
laughs in that, too!)
