Please ignore her "Maybe in US laws, but those 
don't apply to me as I'm a German in Belgium" 
excuse. Myself, having a German mother and 
family, know this is complete nonsense. German 
laws are very strict when it comes to lost items 
of value. Like in the United States, some people 
are honest and some aren't.

Hmm. I guess I know who DIDN'T turn in my purse 
Nov. 20 of last year in the Frankfurt airport. It 
contained $1500 USD, my passport and returning 
plane ticket. Damn, I love honest people. ^_^
