problem is, they're monitoring usage on an hourly 
basis, or something.  b/c the other day i tossed 
up an image-intensive page on a site that had 
been inactive for months, and got an 'over 
bandwidth allowance' message almost immediately.  
checked the stats, did some math, and discovered 
that on 30 page hits my total bandwidth was 
somewhere around 20MB, far *far* less than 
the 'monthly' allotment of 3GB.  

in short, Geocities sucks.  find yourself a 
better free server.  they do exist!
