It's kind of wierd. This forum is run by one of
the biggest cel operators in the business, and
another person who runs an equally big operation
is friends with this person, and comes here
regularly to reply to posts and look around. This
is not a slam, my face is calm, and no anger is
near my mind while writing this, I just thought
it would be cute, and perhaps give everyone a
better idea about why all the fury is going
on...at least I know what makes me shake.
This forum is kind of like a house full of mice.
And there is a cat that lives in the house. The
mice are really hungry, and there is no food in
the house except in one room. But the cat guards
the food. Most of the time the cat is nice to
the mice, sharing the food. The cat doesnt
really need or want all the food, so he tells the
mice they are welcome to it. So, the mice all go
running in craziness and excitment at the food to
try and get something yummy. But every now and
then, the cat gets mad at the mice. The cat can
take away the food, or he can pounce on the mice,
and eat them for himself, thus eliminating them
from the already vast counts of mice that are
already in the house. One or two, or three that
are pounced on doesnt matter, there are still
plenty of mice in the house for the cat to
enjoy. The mice dont know why the cat does this,
they dont know why they are being pounced on, or
why the food goes away. But, what they dont
know, is that there is a mouse in the house who
is friends with the cat. If someone makes this
mouse mad, he tells the cat, and the cat can make
it all better. All the while the mice dont have
a clue about what is going on, all they know is
they want the food. They have some idea, but
nevertheless, cannot do anything about it. If
they get rid of the mouse causing the trouble, he
cannot deal with the cat, and the food might go
away forever. Or the cat will never forgive
them, and he will never let them have anymore
food. So, they are content to go on, doing the
same thing. And when the cat lets them in for
the food, they take as much as they can before
the cat gets mad again.
The above was pretty dumb, I know, but I was just
thinking about the forum like that. Yann,
Stephen, you both are usually nice people to deal
with. Yann, I dont know you, never bought from
you before. Stephen, I have dealt many times
with Taro in the past, and everything was
swimingly good. But, I get the feeling that some
people didnt know you guys ran such a tight show,
especially on this particular forum. If people
say things that offend you, it's because they are
just being human. They dont know they are
offending you, they are just talking, like they
would on the phone or something. They dont know
that there's a cat, and a mouse in the house who
could make them sorry later. They arent scared
because they *dont know* they should be. I hope
you will both forget about these days soon, and
not hold grudges against anyone here, and will
still continue business with them as usual. I,
for one, will look back at this a month or so
from now, and laugh histerically. It's really
going to be a story from now on, and I hope its
one that can be told with a lot of laughs. |
