I just did a scan of eBay for the first time in a
while tonight, and I realized to my great
surprise that there's a fanart cel of Cyborg 17
from Dragonball Z up that is based off of the
genga set of Juunanagou I have on my website.
The surprise, of course, was two-fold: first that
it exists without my knowledge, and second, that
it's up pretty high. Now, I know I don't own
Juunanagou (though I wish I did), and that it's
not my place to get jealous over someone
profiting off the image. However, it's pretty
clear this was based off my genga, because a
screencap would have cut off more of him than is
showing in the drawing--and I doubt the person
has this cel to copy off of.
So, to cut to the chase, is there anything I can
do? Do I have the right to write the seller and
ask her what she's doing, or even to ask her to
take off the auction? (I doubt I have that last
right, but it's worth asking.) This isn't the
only cel/genga she's done a fancel off of--she
has one of Vegeta, and a few days ago she sold a
cel of a pretty pricey naked Ryoko, too. Any
advice would be appreciated, but please, no
flaming.

her gallery) |
