I was down there over x-mas and found three shops 
with cels. The best one was Mandarake by far. It's 
in Torrance and the address is on the Internet 
Guide to Anime Cels site under offline dealers. 
They also give the address to Kinokuniya Bookstores 
which does carry some cels (they are behind the 
counter, you have to ask and they WILL watch you 
like a hawk as you browse through them ;-) but what 
I really liked was their selection of artbooks and 
manga. There was one other that I found by 
accident. They carry only Card Captor cels and they 
do weekly auctions for them. Sounds like a drag but 
get this, they have some great cels and the most 
they have ever sold one for is $75. Which shocked 
the doodoo outta me. It was across the street from 
a friend's house, which I think was on Santa 
Monica. If you want the address, email me and I'll
