I think the male cel collectors are out there, 
they just approach collecting a bit differently. 
The ladies get *extremely* excited and over a cel 
that depicts a character with "great eyes" 
or "cute expression" (which I do too BTW). But 
how many male galleries use those kind of 
descriptors, even with female picks? I think, in 
general, the ladies collect more for emotional 
rather than technical reasons. And it doesn't 
surprise me that the bishounen get snatched up 
faster than any other type of cel. Women, 
especially young women, are impulse shoppers,  
which make them an extremely lucrative 
demographic. Impulse buying is usually attributed 
to emotion. Not that the guys don't get just as 
excited about getting their hands on a great cel, 
it's just that the ladies want everyone else to 
know it too. ~_^
