I was looking in someone's cel gallery and
noticed that there is a cel that looks exactly
like the cel I have on order from a cel dealer.
The only difference is the painted area at the
bottom (the off camera area).
I decided to take out my DVD to check the scene.
Since the character is moving a lot in the cel,
the cel sequences are pretty different from each
other. Every single, tiny thing in both cels is
exactly the same (except for the ragged paint
edge on the bottom). This character wears these
clothes only for a few minutes in the show so it
can't be from another part of the show. The cel I
bought doesn't come with a sketch. Neither scans
of the 2 cels show a sequence number, so I can't
go by that at this point.
Anyone heard of cels like this before? I thought
this was really strange. I'll have to see what
the sequence number is when I get the cel. This
cel is fairly expensive, but not hundreds of
dollars so I can't see anyone deciding to paint
one since it wouldn't be worth it.
They're the same cels and yet not the same.:)
