and the lining/detailwork on that thing is
so lovely in person!)

I love this cel, too... the expressions are so
sweet, and the poses are very characteristic.
Although I loved Bigwig, his character design
was just "ok" in my mind (although it was very
fitting to the book, don't get me wrong!) and
it was really Hazel and Fiver who kept my
attention.  

I was very surprised to get the cel and look
closely at it ... to notice that the trace-lines
were all handpainted!  (Lovely gray, brown and
black tones all through the outlining...)
Most of the trace-lines are in perfect condition,
so I don't know if the slight breaks in the
solid lines of the whiskers are due to fading
or if they were meant to be that way... however,
I have noticed that cels with hand-inked lines
seem to have a lot less fading over time than
those with machine-inked lines.

Sorry for the terrible scan!  My scanner is so
lousy (need to be replaced :P) and the cel is
so clean/perfect in person!!!
