I think you completely misread my post...

I didn't mean that people didn't like showing
off or seeing other's cels... 

However, saying in the end "so-and-so's cel of
this character is better than so-and-so's cel"
seems pretty negative to me.  Even if the 
intentions are good (and I know the original
poster of this contest doesn't mean to hurt
anyone's feelings), it still comes out as a
"mine's better than yours is" contest.  And I
think that's a negative thing.

Perhaps a better idea would've been a collective
gallery, a "cel collector image forum" where
each person submits one absolute favorite cel
JUST TO SHOW OFF?  I think this entire thing
can take on a negative/hurtful tone just by
including the words "best of the best CONTEST"...
because in every contest there is a winner, but
there are also a lot of "losers", and I would
hate for ANYONE in the cel collecting community
to feel like their cel "lost"...

I think you missed my original post that this
was meant as constructive criticism, not a flame
or posting-war... :P
