Well, I survived my first all-anime convention, 
Sakura Con, this weekend.  It was great meeting 
ix, emika, crackdog, evilminion, darkamber, 
Kirins, Gary, and all the rest!  And the CELS---MY 
GOD---THE CELS!!!!  :-o

Anyway, I saw lots of new (to me) anime, and 
really took a liking to the humorous stuff 
(Shinesman, Jubei Chan, Dragon Half, Captain 
Tyler).  But as I was watching Jubei Chan, a 
question popped into my head that I've mentioned 
here on the BBS before.

For those familiar with Jubei Chan, remember the 
character "Satchi"?  In the English dub, she is 
referred to as "that expressionless girl".  Now, I 
took that at face value w/out any deeper meaning 
(her expression never changed, she spoke in 
monotone, she had NO sense of humor).  But later 
on, I realized she was also the only girl with 
typical Asian features in the anime.  Did anyone 
else see this as a jab at the non-western look?  
Did I miss such an obvious joke?

Is this totally OT???!   ^_^
