Well to my knowledge, there aren't any anime cel 
shops in NYC.  There are some good places to 
buy other anime goodies tho...Check out the two 
big Bookstores, Asahiya and Kunokuniya for manga, 
cds, dictionaries, books, and magazines.  There is 
also Image Anime, last time I went they didn't 
have cels for sale...many models,toys, CDs, 
videos, and books.  

Chinatown has a great selection of scrolls, cards, 
SM cds, posters, keychains, videos,  toys, video 
games, Pocky, etc etc.  

There is also Yaohan Plaza to check out.  I 
haven't been there since 1996 so I'm not sure what 
they have there anymore!  I'll stop by after
