As with all auctions, you *must* keep in mind that 
even if the auction ends just 500 yen above *your* 
max that does *not* mean the other person's max was 

your_max 500 yen


for all you know, the other person could have put a 
bid of 

your_max 100000000000000000000000 yen

  ^^...just so you don't feel totally bummed if it 
does end just 500 yen above your max.  It *does* 
however mean that at this moment in time, you and 
that person both want the cel at at least your_max.  
That is all you can assume.  

  Considering how new I am to auctions, bidding and 
cels...I've got some pretty funny stories about 
auctions already ^^.  

   Hope this brings some comfort...just think of 
all the cels you can now buy?
