Dear jINx,
Well, in a cleaning frenzy last night, I decided
to rip open every single matte I had! Boy, they
sure take up a TON of space 86, plus it's hard to
enjoy looking through them if they are stacked
somewhere! You're absolutely right about those
She-Ra mattes 8)! They were VERY easy to take
apart once I removed the shrink wrap, and the tape
that held them inside were also quite easy to
remove!
I even made a startling discovery 8)! One of the
She-Ra cels I had included an original background
8) with 3 layers of background cels too 8)! I
was very happy =D! I also found out that at least
for She-Ra cels, cels with characters on them have
peg holes at the bottom of the cel while the
background and any accompanying background cels
have registration holes at the top of the cel 8)!
Very interesting!
I even managed to rip off that glued matte 8),
although the matte was damaged in the process -_-!
The production drawing remained intact, and it was
held in place with safe paper tape that is easy to
remove off of paper without damage 8)! Now I can
finally enjoy my bargain production drawing (paid
only $15.00 for it! Retail price according to
the old price tag on it from the store it was
bought from along with the receipt was ~$200.00!).
Woohoo!!!! Matte feeding frenzy 8)!!!
Sincerely,
