first, thanks for the compliments! ^_^ I
appreciate em!

The way I feel is.. if someone offers me $20,000
for my mononoke cel..... Its obvious that I've
got something pretty good.. and why would I want
to part with it when it means so much to me
emotionally on top of that?

But then theres the situation mentioned where I
might REALLY need money.. for something OTHER
than another cel.. like if one of my family
members needs desperate help, or someone falls
ill, etc.. I wouldnt even second think selling
it! It would be gone in an instant! But if
someone just comes up out of the blue and offers
me all this money, I'd have to say no. I'm in no
dire need for money right now, and even though
its a lot, I feel the cel wont go down in value
(considering its rareity, the fact that cels will
soon be obsolete, and that its the last film
Miyazaki will do with cels) and I wont be missing
out on much.. Plus the fact that it would be very
hard to ever replace something so rare and
beautiful in my eyes..

Now, if I get offered a lot for a cel I'm not
emotionally attached to, and I find I can use the
money for a better cel that I know I can find
someday, then sure, I'd sell it.. probably even
if it was my first. (actually my first cels arent
anything to rave about really. lol. They are just
about as desirable as a picture of Charlie the
Tuna's back.. my apologies to anyone looking for
a cel of this ~_^)

so.. I hope this makes sense and I dont sound
like an idiot.. $20,000 is a LOT of money and I'm
sure I could buy an incredible cel (or car hehe)
with that much....but..would it ever mean as much
to me as the non-perfect one I fell in love with
and worked my ass off to pay for? ^_^
