TK,
I figured that there wasn't any more to her body 
in that scene (though I thought she was peeking 
through a hole---reflecting on a jewel is a very 
nice thought!), I referred to her as a "partial 
image" since a chunk of her was missing.  Like 
with cels where a foreground object cuts a huge 
blank space through a character.  Sure the 
character is as complete as it will be in that 
scene, but it's still NOT all there....  (kinda 
like me).  ^_^

In the end, it really doesn't matter to me.  I 
like the image very much, no matter how much of 
her is visible.  And your clue as to it's origin 
makes it even better!
