I think it is the OAV. In the tv series, his 
ponytail is loose right? am I mistaken? Been a 
while since I've watched, but his hair tells all. 
In the OAV it was in a high ponytail and tight 
while in the tv series, it is relaxed and low 
like Hotohori almost. Hope that helps!
