eBay is not all that 'secure' - for a few reasons
- unless you know the market very well, it's
difficult to spot a scam. there is no credit check
on bidders. if you do spot a scam, it has to be
extremely obvious b/c from my experience, eBay
safeharbor is 90% *worthless*. -_-'
I actually prefer how Yahoo is set up over eBay;
you have the option to require credit checks on
bidders of your auctions, for example (haven't
tried it), or credit checks on bidders of a
certain feedback rating (don't remember details
^_^'). There's also a "buy price" so people who
are interested in simply breaking even can opt for
that. Both auction systems have feedback ratings,
but it seems that both sellers and bidders are
failing to leave feedback ---- LEAVE FEEDBACK,
PEOPLE!!
I had another point, but I forgot... O_O
Oh, but the point is, it's best to leave auctions
as a side-interest to the hobby; definitely visit
reputable dealers *first* before considering
auctions - I mean, there are certainly ignorant
people out there who think auctions are the *only*
source for cels...
