I'd take a thunderstorm anyday. We've had 
snow,snow,SNOW! It has snowed EVERYDAY for 2 and 
ahalf months STRAIGHT (save maybe 7 days)this is 
no lie; we live in a lake effect area that 
produces heavy snow even with no real snowstorm. 
There is now as I speak about 4 feet of snow on 
the ground an unless your a very good driver and 
have a good source of heat, your stuck freezing.
