Hey Remi. Now,as far as I've seen it does use 
cels and cg.  I remember having that problem when 
I first started looking for them.  I wondered why 
they were so hard to find.  I had ask a dealer 
that did assure me that the cels they are were 
real so thats where the whole the "did use cels" 
thing comes from and not post productions.  I'm 
not sure why there are so rare though.  Maybe 
because it's semi-new(if you consider 98' newish) 
or they really weren't public released.  I'm just 
saving for that one cel to complete the I want 
Lain part of my collection.  A side note, it's 
cool to see someone interested in them.  It's a 
really great series in my opinion.  Let's just 
hope more cels trickle through the market.  Hope
