The Keep-track's not a bad idea, or some other site 
link...though what you really ought to include in 
the popup is a line of code that will cause the 
popup to disappear on its own if it's not clicked 
within 5-10 seconds.  It's a pretty easy function 
(though of course I can't remember it off the top 
of my head), and would go a long way towards making 
the little bugger less obtrusive.
