I have an original piece of Japanese Animation Art for auction. It is an
ORIGINAL Animator's sketch, or "genga" of Merle the Cat girl from the
well-loved Anime TV series, the "Vision of Escaflowne". Please note: this is
not a "douga", or pencil sketch that usually accompanies most cels when
purchased; This is an an original animator's sketch, or a GENGA, rendered by
one of the main staff animators of Escaflowne. Usually, the finished,
cleaned-up pencil sketch, or the "douga" is done by in-betweeners or
animation studio rookies; while, the "genga" features the main sequences of
the animation and is done only by the chief animators. This genga features
one of the favorite characters of the Escaflowne canon, Merle, running
