Okay, you're right, I shouldn't have made a blanket statement
like that. However, while you have some good points,
anonymity can still be achieved with a handle. ^_- And,
if the reason why you don't use a handle is because you don't
want to start a fight, my reasoning is that you probably
won't intend to post a pre-flame/flame anyway - and if it's
perceived as a pre-flame/flame, then a simple clarification
or apology will work (and is attached then to your handle,
and perceptions of your handle works accordingly). I hope
that makes some sense...
Of the numerous other public forums I'm a member of, login
is always required. This does NOT MEAN that flames will be
*eliminated* - it will make it easier to respond to the
correct person without further misunderstanding, for instance
(e.g. previous threads where two anon posters posted and one
was a flame, then everyone else flamed the wrong anon...).
