I understand your point (and everyone else's -
thanks for so many respones!!), and I've been
burned by snipers as well, but....
There are still 5 1/2 days to go in the auction,
there have been a number of bidders, and its
already at the reserve. I hate to be mercenary,
but I *need* the money badly, or I'd never be
selling this cel (its truly a first class cel). If
I end it now, I make one person very happy, and
get back what I paid for it, minus shipping - but
I could piss off others who haven't had a chance
to bid yet. If I don't close it, I could get a
lot more money, since there's been a lot of early
interest, and I only risk pissing off one bidder -
but I don't really want to seem too greedy.
I think all in all that everyone knows that the
purpose of an auction is to get as much as you
can. I think I'm going to keep it running. Maybe,
as some people suggested, I'll close it early if
they make an offer I can't refuse, but right now
it looks like I'll get more if I wait.
Thanks everyone for your advice - I'm still
interested in seeing more opinions, because I've
wondered before about how people viewed this
practice.
Az, who wishes she could keep every damn cel, and
buy more!!! |
