Since I happened to check recently, I thought this might
be of interest to some of the cel collectors here who's
scans were used without permission by sailormoon.org
I had written them a while ago, probably a month or so
when the tread first started here. I asked them very
politely to please remove my images since they were taken
without permission or proper credit.
I received a response shortly after from 'Scot' saying that
it would take some time since there were so many requests
from collectors asking about their images.
Then I noticed their site had some problems. So, I figured
once it was up and running again, the images would be
removed since the site was down anyhow for some time and
the webmaster would be free to remove the images at that
time. So, I waited hoping that 'Scot' would do as promised.
Well, I guess I was wrong. One month later, the site is
back up and the same images are still there, pretty much,
with the same file names. I haven't checked every single
page, but the ones I did, still had my cel scans up
(and others I recognized as being from other SM cel collector's galleries).
I am very annoyed that despite what he said, he didn't do a
thing and its been what I feel is a reasonable amount of
time to take down my images. I even provided the exact
file names of the images that were stolen from me, including
a link to where they could be found on my webpage.
Is there anyone else who is in the same situation? I would
just like some feedback about this whole thing. I mean, is
it unreasonable for me to request my scans to be removed
from his site? And besides, he complied saying he would.... |
