Disclaimer this is only my opinion based on the numerous Fushigi Yuugi cels I've purchased. The one of Taka is well posed but Taka cels are very common these days. If it were Tamahome it would get much more but with the flood of OVA cels I think you would be lucky to get more than $100 for it. The Nuriko cel is another matter. That one does seem to be from the TV series. It is well posed and more importantly it is an image of Nuriko from before Nuriko died. The Ghost Nuriko cels have a much more pale skin and hair color. They are also very common due to the OVAs all featuring Nuriko as a ghost. The way Nuriko grading seems to go is: OVA: Common and for the most outstanding cel it likely will never go beyond $175 at the most Most will not get more than $80. The ghost Nuriko is featured in all the OVA cels and between the pale skin the light hair and the lack of a ponytail it's just hard to find a good cel of him in the OVA series. TV Male: This is where yours fits in. It's after Nuriko's secret is known. The most valuable ones are well posed and show Nuriko's ponytail. I've seen these go up to $325. Yours is a good pose but the expression and not having the ponytail would suggest a dealer would sell it for $175-$200. Nuriko Female: These are the most rare. I've only seen six of these for sale and only two of those were really good. The price on a good one? I'd easily pay $500. Fortunately I managed to get hold of two long ago before anyone knew Nuriko's popularity and true value. Again these are only my opinions and they are only based on my experiences with Fushigi Cels over the past three years since I first started collecting them. Oh my first fushigi cel cost me $35. My most expensive cost me $415. That might give you some idea how the prices have climbed as anime cel collecting has grown and Fushigi Yuugi grew in popularity. |
