Okay, I've put it off (again) when I need research... (sigh) I'm so bad ^_- Anyway, I need knowledgeable answers to these questions, perferably through email (basically because I need to quote "sources") but feel free to post here as well... I just have no idea how to cite sources from forum-messages. I'm doing on essay on "classical" animation methods (ie. cel painting) vs. the "new animation technology" (ie. computer animation). (Hey, they say to write what you know when you're out of ideas...) However, I know very little / next to nothing about the methods for completing a computer-animated movie. Plus, I also need some input about the cel-method of art. Basically, my stand on the issue (this has to be a "persuasive" essay) is that, while computer animated methods may save time and money, the speed at which the animation industry is shifting to computer animation may be harmful in the long run (meaning we may lose some real talent in switching so quickly to the computer screen). Again, I know very little about the methods use to animate computer images, so please help! (Questions are in the next message since this is getting too long - also, please try to reply by email if at all possible so I can cite any useful information!) Kim -please see next message (typing as fast as I can)- |
