Question about corners cut off the end of cels (Sun Dec 26 19:53:09 1999
) marcus http://www.dpo.uab.edu/~marcus/page-anime.html marcus@uab.edu |
I have several very large cels with background (almost all are A1 end cels), that have had two of there four courners cut off into a diagnal. I was told at one time that this was done intenitionally by the studio to prevent the cel from being taken out of of the studio and marking it as studio property. However, I have one cel that was cut and painted with the end cut off (even the sketches and the ganga are cut with the corners cut off). So the first explanation makes no sense. In addition, Taro now put up a miyu cel that was also done in the same way. Does anyone know what the rationale for this is or are they done this way to do diagnal pan shots. The first location should have the taro cel and second is the location of the Master Mosquiton cel I was talking about. http://www.anime-taro.com/db/taro/table=produce&query=ID='892294620409714455'&template=view.html http://www.dpo.uab.edu/~marcus/new-additions/masmos-grp6.jpg Thanks Marcus |
