To the one who asked about the results of the wet sketch test. . . (Thu May 11 16:41:04 2000 )

Ironing the sketch from wet to dry produced near perfect
results! The way I ironed it was to lay it flat on my
ironing board (just a standard, lightly padded top ironing
board - *without* a cloth cover) and I laid another piece
of blank white paper over it (I used the standard white
paper we use in our printer). I ironed it on low-medium,
keeping the iron moving at all times. I flipped the "sketch"
over once, but other than that, I did not stop ironing until
it was completely dry.

Ironing the sketch after it was dry, produced nice but not
perfect results. The sketch was mostly flat but had a tiny
bit of warp to it (it wouldn't lay perfectly flat on a table
but it had an overall smooth, flat appearance when held and
viewed). Also, I had a problem where it almost creased when
ironed, thanks to the position of a wrinkle. It was more of
a pain to iron it this way and the results weren't as nice.

I don't know what to say about freezing the sketch... I put
it, still wet, on a flat piece of cardboard (I used one of
the ones from the packaging of my last Taro order) and put
it on a level shelf in my freezer. (Much to the confusion
of my husband. ^_^;) Anyway, it *froze to* the piece of
cardboard and I couldn't easily get it back off. o_0 So I
stopped trying to get it off and I stuck it back in the
freezer with the thought that the water which is now holding
it frozen to the board will evaporate off. (Like when you
leave ice cubes in the freezer for too long - they get
smaller because the water slowly turns directly from a solid
to a gas without passing through the liquid stage again.)
This hasn't yet happened, so the jury is still out on the
results. However, the sketch does appear to be flat, although
still frozen to the board and looks kind of funny sitting
there on top of my Bagel Bites. ^_^

I actually cut the piece of sketch paper into four quarters.
So I have one quarter left. Does anyone have anything else
they want to try? ^_^

Many Sharp Smiles,
