It's nice to see families collecting together. :) Though I don't use laser backgrounds on my framed cels, I still want to prevent the cel from sticking to the background or piece of backing paper when I frame it. So I use an extra matt board. I put it between the cel and the background paper and the cel kind of floats between the first matt and the one behind it, only touching around the edges. For my non-framed cels, I use a piece of acetate between the cel and the background that is stapled or taped to the cel (I don't like to tamper with the studio set-up) to prevent sticking. Though the cel will eventually stick to the acetate, it will protect the back of it and the background from damage perminently. For those cels that aren't stuck or stapled, I just put them in a plastic bag-like insert and put the background behind the bag. A lot more info than you've asked for, but I hope some of it helps. Noriko BTW, I frame professionally now too. |
