Sometime the number is written on an extra strip of plastic taped to the rest of the cel. This strip may have been removed latter. (That's not uncommon with large cel or when the whole plastic sheet area was needed to paint the cel). Also, the number may having erased later : just putting your fingers on it may remove it. When you clean the cel, it's quite easy to erase the number if you are not careful. Cheers, Yann Stettler |
