I got a nice professional portfolio at Anstradam Art(I don't know if this is a national chain or whatnot) but it's sprial bound, has a very sturdy cover and has plenty of room so if you matt things like Yann, you won't have to worry about fat book syndrome. One of my friends in visual arts class made a cel book on his own, though he uses it for his own drawings, not cels. Feh, my point is, it cousle work really well as a cel book. If you can get those thick plastic folder-sheets like in a cel book, punch a few holes in on the bottom, re-enforce the holes, then a few bolts(as many bolts as you have holes 1)and make sure that part of the bolt is smooth, the other part is like a screw. Then, he took 2 slabs of masonite the size of the plastic sheets a few inches on each side, drilled some holes in those where the holes in the sheets were, stuck the bolts in, put the sheets in, then the other layer of masonite on top. Take the extra bolt and put it on the opposite side of where the other bolts are. Use that to prevent the ends of the cels from being crushed. Then take some wing nuts and adjust the thickness as he saw fit. It doesn't take as long to build as it sounds. |
