Well I had a few spare junk cels, but they are still in the negative 80 freezer as part of the collective cel testing experiment. In regards to the results so far, negative 20 did not do anything to a cell after 1 week exposure as long as the cel was allowed to rewarm slowly. If it was rapidly reheated, the paint did crack in some areas and acetate appeared to be now more brittle. The negative 80 results are still being tabulated. But it seems like this is a probably too cold for acetate to maintain (many have developed some cracking even before being taken out and rewarded to room temperature). Marcus |
