Yeah, I have an Anthy/Utena cel from that sequence as well
that also has the second layer (which I really didn't think
much of at the time, but I guess it is really the same
concept as the Juri cel...) and the second layer on Juri can be
overlapped with the first layer so you can't tell there's
another layer in the first place (however, the brighter
layer doesn't have any fading and is much prettier, so I'll
keep them separate anyway ^_^). None of the layers were
stuck, and I'm used to seeing layers (even corrective ones)
stuck together or at least sitting on top of each other,
but this second layer was buried in the pencil sketches as
well...
My Chu Chu w/bowl cel has a corrective layer, too (the
painter painted the bowl with the wrong colors) but the
newer layer doesn't have the black outlining... I wonder
why the Utena cels seem to have so many "corrective layers,"
then?
