I've heard that in the old days before cel collecting became an actual hobby, that the studios like Gainex use to bury their anime "bi-products" behind their building. This is because they had so many, that they didn't know what to do with them all. Yes, cels are supposed to be anime bi-products; waste, but alas we revere them as gold these days. So you never know, there might be cel trees that have grown from those buried cels... ;) Noriko
