Stuck sketches, is it safe to cut it off? (Thu Apr 13 20:56:00 2000

I have a gorgeous cel of Larva from the opening of the Vampire Princess Miyu TV series. But it's stuck to what looks like a blank timing sheet. There's no drawing on the sheet, and really the thing serves no purpose at all. I have another cel with a background similar to the one used with this cel in the intro, and I'm pondering making a laser copy to display behind the opening cel. But of course to do this, I need to remove the piece of paper stuck to the cel. While I don't want to risk damaging the cel, I have no interest whatsoever in preserving the blank sheet of paper, so I was wondering if there is a downside anybody can see to taking a pair of scissors or an exacto knife and trimming off all the paper that's not stuck to paint. Opinions? |
