Gomen I think there is a misunderstanding.

I really REALLY didn't want to use Ebay.  The Hotohori
cel generated interest but I honestly can not remember
anyone offering a set amount.  If someone would have
said would you take $300 or $200 or whatever I would
have said yes if it seemed fair.  In most cases I
considered fair to be what I paid for the cel.  Then
there were times when I overpaid like for the Akane-chan
cel and I knew it was unlikely I could even get what
I had paid.  Still over all if people offered what I paid
then I accepted (after waiting a couple of days to see
if anyone else would offer more).  Oh the only exception
to that was the Nuriko cel that I couldn't bare to part
with even though I got a reasonable offer.  ^_^;  But
that was the exception.

Ebay wasn't my choice and if it wasn't a violation
of nettiquette I'd be willing to post the emails of
those who requested I do it using Ebay.  As I look
at it I'm ending up getting less money because of the
commision ebay gets I've also already had to pay my
ISP for extra bandwidth because the auctions went
over what I am allowed so that's already cost me money
there.

I might end up making up for it in that more people
will see the cel and therefore there is a larger
pool of bidders but I honestly don't know.  I kind
of think Ebay just drives the prices up but you
really don't make much more than you would otherwise
because they take their cut.

I kind of wish Yann's auctions had gone over better
but even Yann has stopped useing them for some of his
own auctions recently.  I guess Ebay is a defacto
monopoly because everybody wants to use it since it
will likely draw the largest number of bidders.

I still have many other beautiful cels which I didn't
put on Ebay and I'd be more than happy to sell them
to whoever will just tell me what they are willing
to pay  (like saying hey the Ririka cel is great I'll
give you $150) or something like that.  But then again
no one even asked about the Ririka cel which is too
bad because it is totally   KAWAIIIIII!!!  ^_^;;;
