There's no time schedule for the studios to release the
cels, unless the sponsors specifically request when they
can release them. For certain shows, the studios release
the cels right after the TV airing, some release even
release the cels during the airing, and some never release
them. It's basically up to the individual studios and
their licensing issues. Even though cel is treated as
a by-product from the animation process, so many sponsors
and studios don't really care about them before. But now,
cels' values keep going on, and they realize they should
be treating them as merchandises. |
