Again, recent requests for identities of purchasers brings
up another question.
I have read FAQs and other information at various dealers'
sites and haven't seen any policy statements along these lines.
(I apologize in advance if such a statement is on a site and
I missed it.)
I would hope that all dealers would post statements on their sites
to the effect that they will not reveal names/e-mail addresses/etc.
of purchasers. Further, I also hope that they would state
that they would not make lists of purchasers available to
other businesses or persons (of course, within limits of the
laws of the country in which the business is operated.)
I don't know of any instances of this happening. But it would be
nice to see a clear statement of each dealers policy on
this subject. |
