Why wonder why sailor moon is so popular on ebay, 
look at this forum, someone mentions sailor moon and it
explodes.

There are on line auction sites where a certain bid will
end the auction but you won't find the selction you do on ebay.
Chances are you won't find any cels at all.

You can go to a beanie baby or a baseball card chat board
and read the same exact debate over ebay and the prices.

Remember when someone paid like 10,000 bucks for a cel from
MD Geist II.
It's the nature of the auction.
