Well, I don't really like dealing with auction, but I have
to admit that auction sites like EBay has more advertising
powers right now.  Before, when I tried to sell some of
my old stuffs, I would post them on the newsgroups, like
rec.arts.anime.marketplace.  Lately, the newsgroup doesn't
seem to be effective anymore, no one interests on my stuffs.
Then I tried posting at EBay, and yes, it attracted some
attentions from a few people bidding on my items.  Very
often, the final prices are lower than the prices that I
tried to sell in the newsgroups, but at least I did
get rid of these items.  The bottom line is the auction 
doesn't necessary drive up the prices, in several of my
cases, I ended up selling lower at my expected prices.  And 
sometimes, my items simply don't sell, but I still have to
pay EBay for its insertion fees.  So in this case, I 
actually lose money without selling my items at all.
