Glass is a very stable and neutral element. It won't reach with anything. It all depend if you have good taste or if you are colors blind... :) No, seriously, it's ok to put a colored sheet behind the cel. Some people will tell you that you have to absolutly use acid free stuff (no LSD either...) but personaly I don't think it's that important.
