What people don't realize is that we are people too.

I think what some of these people are trying to say is that 
when a dealer accepts someones order and/or money and they 
are expecting to go out of town, they might want to leave a
little courtesy notice stating that they will be away. 
This way it would avoid any confusion or bad-mouthing.
You left a notice stating that you will be away and so do 
most of the cel dealers.  Of course there will always be some 
people who can't read, but at least you've covered yourself. 
Then there are dealers who seem to either forget or don't 
think it's important that their customers have that information.  
It's up to the dealer as to how they want to handle this. 
Those that don't leave a notice do risk the kind of "awkward" 
thread as I've seen on this board this past week.
