Hello there! Unless there is something horrible about having all five layers there, this is a case where I'd recommend just leaving well enough alone. I have managed /once/ to separate two cel layers that were stuck together, but it was in a case where the top stuck cel was not one I cared about at all. I just wanted it gone. :) It came off with minimal paint loss, which I cleaned from the front of the other cel. If you are separating cels from one another, you are really taking a big risk that the paint will not peel off with the cel that it was originally put on. ;^^; My other advice for separating stuck drawings from cels: When you are using a hair drier to separate the cels, heat the drawing rather than the cel. You will get the paint hotter on the side you want it to separate from than on the side you want to stay stuck. I won't promise that you will never have paint loss, but this is the best way I know of when you absolutely positively have got to separate those cels! Good luck! Ryochan |
